Tōhoku Japanese Earthquake Sculpture by Luke Jerram.
About the piece:
This sculpture was made to contemplate the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami in Japan. To create the sculpture a seismogram of the earthquake, was rotated using computer aided design and then printed in 3 dimensions using rapid prototyping technology. The artwork measures 30cm x 20cm and represents 9 minutes of the earthquake.
Look for it soon at the Jerwood Space in London for a show called Terra. The show will also include his fantastic virus sculptures.
SUBMISSION: Adam & the Amethysts ”Flickering Flashlight.” Cover art by Carly Waito.
The brief for this project was to create a unique identity for the East coast office of Nike USA. An identity that was typically New York and could be rolled out across interiors and limited run apparel, allowing the team to proudly stand apart.
With a tagline of ‘Pioneers of Reference Standard’, it was clear the line was being drawn in the sand. Our response was to personify and present Nike East as renegades or pirates, flying their own flag and rolling with the punches. The identity was delivered as a set of parts to allow flexibility and customisation at every level for maximum relevance and self expression. Stand tall.
